Description: MIRP will host a roundtable discussion for attorneys and advocates for Michigan's unaccompanied alien children (UACs). This session's agenda items will include: 1) discussion of the new juvenile docket process in the Detroit Immigration Court, 2) difficulties in biometrics collection for UACs, 3) domestic foster care cases and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), and 4) filing procedure for SIJS at USCIS Detroit District Office, among other topics.
